Have to like the work the MindSay crew put into setting up a better system to promote and highlight "popular" blogs!
The new listing works nicely enough, at least there's plenty to choose from rather than just 5 or 6 posts, plus it gives indication of comments as well as votes.
Maybe the word "popular" could be changed to "active" to better describe what's being tracked. It's no longer seeming like a popularity contest and because it continually changes some people may relax more about the whole thing!
Certainly it points out where the action is and makes no pretentious claim these are "the best" blogs and that's, I think, the biggest improvement. Re: one site listed is a person who only just set up a page and doesn't even have an entry yet but plenty of comments!
And it surely points out where all the controversy or "buzz" is a happenin'! And I think that's what people here were mainly looking to find... otherwise tags work fine for specific searches anyway!
Yay MindSay - maybe that shot in the arm will help!
