Everyone has been touched incredibly by the devastation delivered upon the beautiful Gulf Coast of The United States.
It must be truly frustrating for my brothers and sisters there in the south to watch your brethren hurt so, and to see what seems to be inappropriate activity by governments to solve the problem.
While watching CNN reporters attempting to find words to describe the anguish and pain the following just pieced itself together;
New Orleans Desperation
human lives are being lost because of politics
issues of who has control, who has to legislate what
this is not how we help...why must the powers wait
ships set to sail days after the immediate needs are
already so dire as to see people perish in their streets
get water and food to the people - drop it in
and let them see you actually care about their plight
stop allowing laws and rules and "issues"
stop you all from doing what is surely right!
as the people march out of New Orleans
in desparate search of relief
the people will do what they must
to keep themselves alive and well
and the leaders of city, state and country
watch them as they survive a living hell
who cares about their new court appointee
that necessity can wait another day
there are issues of life and death here
that must be addressed without delay
My daughter's half sister lives in Morgan City, LA and we believe she evacuated to the northern part of the state. That or perhaps to Texas. Does anyone know how Morgan City faired the storm? Was there an impact there as well? I'm sure she'll be in contact once the lines aren't so overworked but anything anyone could offer would be helpful.
Sorry If you wanted a weather report and more pictures less striking than the ones from disaster areas...but...well my creativity is focused elsewhere just at the moment!
May peace be with your heart and please send that peace through your very soul to help soothe your brothers and sisters...to help calm their fears...to help cool their heads and heal their broken hearts!
Much Love!
