It's a Brand New Day
This morning, when John headed out for work, I decided to get out walking early, before the rains would start. ...Timed that well too; it's raining now!
I had brought my camera with me. While Keisha & I enjoyed the park I thought I'd get a few shots in... The light wasn't going to come though. Instead clouds filled our sky, no lovely sunrise to record here today. We're scheduled for a day full of rain possibly overnight as well. The rest of the week is suggested to be beautiful so we'll take this and be happy with what's to come.
The birch leaves are just taking on their golden autumn coats and the mums in my front yard will finish opening to add a fresh spalsh of colour to the yard very soon, they'll last until the heavy frosts and snows come. I could use a few more pansies, my dad weed wacked the last batch that was growing this spring, forgetting they come back in fall! And fairly soon I'll have to start bringing in any plants I want to keep over winter; begonias, geraniums, my lavendar and a sweet fuschia plant can all come in on the frosty nights to come. If I can get them through winter, they will be enjoyed again early next spring.
While I was walking I ran into a neighbour heading to work just around the corner and asked if she knew if their company was hiring... she explained they'd hired someone just a couple weeks ago, in production. And when I got home I checked google to learn more about them. Turns out they may be in need, turns out I may be able to be of assistance. Looks like they have some interesting projects underway, like building their website - I learned when checking to see if they have a website; and I'd so love to help them on it!
It's the funny way things sometimes fall together that still happily surprises me! All I can do is encourage it, it seems to have been the source of my successes in life. Can I be hopeful, sure! Why not? What could be the worst that might happen? Rejection? At this stage even that is not a problem, things could be worse than that, couldn't they? Things could be a whole lot worse and so I persevere and offer my services, not even caring if wages might be low, and I maintain hope a win-win situation occurs!
Life, I believe, still promises surprise and pleasure and sheer joy in each day. And the magic of a new day always opens new possibilities!
