Sometimes accidents provide the most incredible opportunities. I bet if you take some time to ponder this and reflect on your own life you'll agree. Those "happy accidents" when things just seem to fall together and something that could be bad turns out to be the best thing going. I've heard stories of people having car accidents and falling in love or building a strong friendship with the person the accident happened with.

Accidental Art is like that... Accidental Art is like improvisation but it's with a twist because it happens unintentionally, not because it was "worked out" or thought through. Photography is one of the best mediums for this particular form of art, and every photographer will tell you "accidents happen".  Gladly!

Once in a while that accident can produce some very dramatic results.  And captured on film or with digital technology  these happy accidents can provide some interesting perspectives on the world around us.

Here's a case in point;
I was visiting my daughter and decided to take some photographs of her cat who was lounging on the couch while I was there.  She seemed to be a fairly good subject as she was relaxing in the sunshine that was streaming through the front window.  Well maybe she was a little too relaxed... I had my camera set to take indoor pictures and there was a bit of a delay from the time I clicked the picture and the shot actually fired. I had an intersting shot lined up, set so I wouldn't get any of that dreaded shine in her eyes.  I snapped the shot and....

An eerie lucky shot!
She yawned and when she did, moved her head just enough to get the shine in her eyes... and well I've got to admit I would never have gotten this shot if I had tried to plan it!
It's one of those impossibilities!
Here's a close up view just to get the amazing effect across;
  Eerie closer still!

This will make a fun Halloween card don't you think? And it's not photo-shopped or touched up or manipulated in any way - only cropped - Now if I could program my camera to do more of these, my photographs might be in great demand!
