Wow! October is almost over! What a month it's been.
I know I've been absent from my blogging post and to anyone who actually noticed - I'm so sorry! But no one noticed, I should be safe, hiding here in cyberspace... ya think?
Actually I've been having a ball working on more html lessons, playing with pdf slideshows, playing with my camera... Very busy building up my website, and loving it! You really should check it out - it's taking nice shape now! Visit Our Enchanted Garden at http://ca.geocities.com/imcheryl@rogers.com And the most fun of all - shopping for a new computer!
But I must say there were only a million or so topics I could've covered in that time frame - oh all those lost opportunitites to entertain my brain! So many subjects - on a global level - to touch upon...
Don't you think it's almost been too much? Current Events? I guess it's proof that life carries on - just that it, meaning life, seems to be trying to compress everything into a very short time frame these days.
"These are tumultuous times." I heard someone say that once. It seems they're not slated to become more calm any "time" soon! It makes no difference. We all have our own ways of interacting with all these happenings... Perhaps I've just been in denial?
Nah... just can't get myself enthused enough to tear myself away from playing with graphics! Oh, there was my granddaughters' birthday - that event alone was worth tearing myself away!
So, what I've learned in my graphics foray; pdf slideshows are cool... BUT... they're HUGE - no they're GIGANTIC! really! I had hoped to share a pdf slideshow of fall colours with you today, and after attempting to upload it a few times I finally realized the sucker is just too big. So you might get the slide show eventually but I think I'll have to make the pictures in it a whole LOT smaller. We'll see!
In the meantime; here's another little animated thingy... For Halloween!
Boo!
And similar salutations of the season!
Happy Halloween!!!
This was inspired by a button I had back in high school that I thought was pretty cool, at the time. What else are you supposed to say on Halloween besides "Trick or Treat?" So it's gotta be BOO - otherwise we're just stuck with the usual greetings "Happy Halloween" and besides, it's not even a holiday... It's simply an excuse for some fun and games. And, HEY, There is nothing wrong with that!
I'll admit I love to conjer up a costume, that can be a lot of fun. Shelling out goodies is always a blast and I enjoy seeing little kids out and about gathering their cache of candies. I can also sympathise while their parents shiver on the sidewalks!
I've already bought treats for the kids and have my UNICEF coins available... Intend to cut my pumpkin tomorrow... ButI think I bought my treats too soon - I have to get more already - we ate 'em up, yup...
Good thing it's only once a year! Ha Ha!
