And despite, or in spite of, all the interruptions of shutting down my system 3 times while the storms were nearby, I managed to uncover the in's and out's of loading my pictures and artwork directly into my blog space and getting myself reaquainted with html! Finally!

While I plunged into my programming foray, I'm happy to report, the garden experienced no real damage and enjoyed the water and free nitrogen!
My neighbors weren't as lucky - two saw their backyard gazebos smashed and torn to pieces. "Those lightweight portable sunshades have their uses but they're not well suited to being up all summer and should be taken down durring severe storms." That's what John had told me when we were looking at backyard shade structures. We opted for a unit made of wrought iron, with a screen surround to keep out the bugs. It has a clever, vented top to help provide air circulation and we have it well "pegged". It's still standing and wasn't affected in any way! Good advice from my dear friend the Lucky Dragon!
Thanks again for stopping by the garden, more pics, textures, ideas and likely rainy days to follow. We do hope you enjoy your visit and hope you'll come back often...
