I don't think it's an overstatement - it's even worth repeating; What a month it's been!
Thinking about the fact the month's not over yet just gave me the shivers - I honestly hope that's not precognitive! A peaceful happy end to October would be welcome.
We can hope.
I'll skip working through the milestones until next Tuesday - when November finally arrives, just in case I overlook something! (Here's hoping ONE of those milestones will be that all tourists still in Mexico and Cuba today are home before the month ends!) In the meantime here's an animated halloween graphic;

Garden update:
Temperature; 5 C, (40 F), Humidity; 81%
Barometer; 101.3 and rising. Northerly winds at 20 km/h
a sidenote: we're lucky to have missed any influence from Wilma - the skies have been somewhat overcast and drizzly for days but we missed any of the snow that was hitting higher elevations. Though I understand eastern provinces and states haven't been as lucky!
Several frosts now have finished off any "tender" plants like tomatoes and basil. Parsley, spinach and lettuces are doing fine in the cool weather! Not to mention my roses are trying to bloom again. Planted plenty of daffodils and hyacinths for spring, along with my fall/winter/spring favourite "Icicle Pansies" Gosh they're pretty! I'll be sure to get you some good pics - this fall if the weather cooperates and early next spring if not!
We'll be moving our new gateway into position this weekend. Already moved the gazebo, finished staining the picnic table and put new tires on our utility trailer.
Some things aren't progressing as quickly as we planned. This comes as no surprise - we have a very old house on the property (100 years +) that often demands attention of its' own... Right now we're in the process of replacing our upstairs bathroom floor. When done we'll be recovering that floor plus our entrance foyer. Oh yeah - and then there's a bit of painting that needs doing before Christmas - just to brighten things up for the holidays.
Okay, now; maybe you noticed I changed my header? I'll admit I'm getting hooked on these little animations. They're fun to play with and relatively easy once I get a concept in mind. I know they're simplistic, even juvenile... They're just simple sketches I've been playing with. On my website I created another halloween animation (see yesterday's blog) that's more suited to younger viewers - no scary face inside the tweening - and I'm sending a copy to my daughter as a Halloween Card for my granddaughter! (I have to consider these issues when dealing with a very young person and a new mom) - both can be "prickly" situations when a designer doesn't get it right! On the site the "child-safe" animation section is titled; "
HappY HalLowEeN - for sensitive viewers if you're interested in checking it out. (link is below...)Having mindsay as one of my creative outlets gives me the opportunity to play with these ideas right out in the Triple W world. For that I am ever thankful to their creators! I hope they find more opportunities to develop their program and to market it in a simple manner to corporations and various organizations that can make use of a good, easy to use, Blog format. Who knows - Maybe Brian and Adam should even ask each of us to assist them in marketing the product to all we might know. Nothing like good ol' Word of Mouth advertising! (...and they told two friends..., and so on... !) You know the drill, right? It really does work - trust me! And - wouldn't it be a sweet deal to see them as the next generation of software moguls? I'd like to contribute to that success story! Wouldn't you?
At the rate I'm going soon I'll be doing customized greetings on order! I've been doing them for free for a few friends, working from some rough ideas they gave me. I'd like to find a way to interact with people on-line to develop an ordering process for the same - could get very interesting - it's incredible the ideas some people come up with! They just don't know how to go about getting it done! Something else to add to my development list, I guess!
Right now it's time to do more work on my website and get back to my lesson journal to see what other creations I might be inspired to attempt!
